Conflict Prevention Institute
CPI training is available to all member school districts served by Livingsotn County Special Services Unit. CPI Initial (7 hours) * intended for all new employees or anyone who has not attended a refresher course in the past eighteen months.
- May be taught as two 1/2 days if preferred.

CPI Refresher (3 hours) * Intended for anyone who has been CPI certified within the last eighteen months.

CPI Bus/Transportation Training (3 hours) * Intended for all transportation workers.
- This is an excellent training for transportation personnel.
- Drivers and Monitors will be taught the strategies and techniques they will need to de-escalate verbally and physically acting-out students.

Any member districts that are anticipating the need for CPI Training may contact Thom Proctor to schedule for any additional trainings.
Trainings may be held at LCSSU or at your local school.
The initial training requires eight hours of class work for certification. Re-certification requires three hours of training.
* Anyone that has not been through the initial or re-certification training in the past 18 months is required to take the initial class in order to receive CPI certification.
