Paraprofessional

The Livingston County Special Services Unit is seeking a paraprofessional to work within our specialized school programs.  This position will require  working with students with communication and/or social emotional and behavioral challenges. The ability to work with a team of staff in a highly structured environment is a must.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher; or 60 semester hours of coursework; and able to obtain the ISBE paraprofessional certification.

 

School Social Worker

We are looking at filling two positions that involve counseling, both group and individual, social developmental assessments/histories along with other duties associated with those of a school social worker will be needed. One position will primarily be involved with the LCSSU Specialized School Programs located in Pontiac, IL and the other is anticipated to be assigned to one of our member districts. Driving to the assigned schools is required.

Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in School Social Work and a PEL with the School Support Personnel School Social Worker Endorsement are required. 

Salary: To be determined based on experience, contract, and salary schedule. Mileage reimbursement at IRS rate as of August 1st of each year.

School Psychologist

This position will provide services to the member districts assigned within the Livingston County Special Services cooperative. Typically those responsibilities include counseling, academic/behavior interventions, assessment, and programming. We have the flexibility to consider both full and part-time applicants.

Qualifications: IL PEL with School Psychologist endorsement in Illinois is a must. We are also willing to consider applicants for specialist level internships for the 2018-2019 school year.

Salary: To be determined based on experience, contract, and salary schedule.
